“When someone tells me they have tried Flax oil and don’t like its taste, I suspect they have not tried fresh Flax oil” Udo Erasmus, 1986, Fats that Heal…
A Traditional Food and A Super Food
Our Flax Farm fresh cold-pressed organic Flaxseed oil is delicate, mild and creamy. Â It tastes great in all sorts of foods. Â Due to crop shortages our organic seed is currently not UK grown. Â Our priority is top quality, fully certified organic seed.
Flax Farm cold pressed organic Flaxseed oil is simply Flaxseeds cold pressed and bottled in the traditional way. Â Our oil is made to be enjoyed fresh as a natural food. Â The mild flavour associates well with many foods. Flaxseed oil has been found to be rich in omega-3, which gives Flaxseed oil its reputation for health.
It is not filtered or refined and we don’t use any preservatives but the gentle production method means it tastes great.  We have no interest in making a long shelf-life product. Our oil is made to be enjoyed fresh, it is a versatile ingredient that can be incorporated in many everyday dishes.
Cold-pressed Flaxseed oil has been used for centuries in Europe, especially the Saxony area of Germany where it has always been enjoyed in traditional dishes. Flaxseed oil with potatoes and cottage cheese is the national dish of the area.
It is nature’s richest source of Omega-3.

Storing & Using Flaxseed oil
We recommend the bottles are used within 75 days from opening or 4 months from pressing. If it is stored in the freezer it extends its life for up to 6 months (don’t worry it doesn’t crack the bottles like water does).
We recommend an opened bottle of oil is stored in the fridge which is the ideal place because it is cold and, more importantly, dark.
Flax Farm Flaxseed oil tastes lovely so it is a versatile ingredient that can be incorporated in many everyday dishes:
- Salad dressing
- Drizzle over porridge, soups, pasta and cooked veggies
- Blend with low-fat yoghurt and cottage cheese
- Make healthy mayonnaise
- Mash potatoes
- Hummus and other Mediterranean dips and sauce
